Our Story
Muchnok Ridge was born from Tim Muchnok’s childhood memories of visiting his cousin’s hunting cabin, sparking a shared vision between him and his wife, Amy, to create a family retreat for making memories with their children–Luka and Mila. Their dream was further strengthened by their son’s passion for the outdoors and their daughter’s love of nature and wildlife. The mountains were calling them!
After exploring numerous properties in search of the perfect location, Tim and Amy discovered a 93-acre farm near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Despite the significant work that would be required to transform the property, they recognized it was where they would turn their dream into a reality.
After much hard work, they turned the property into their dream come true. It now features vast open fields and a tranquil pond teeming with fish and wildlife. The cabin’s location provides stunning views of the forested Pennsylvania mountains, making it a picturesque retreat. With attention to detail, they created an all-season escape that has become a cherished sanctuary for family, friends, and wildlife, perfectly suited for outdoor adventures.

All private photography session requests can be submitted via this form Private Photography Session Request. What type of Photo Sessions can be booked at Muchnok Ridge?
At Muchnok Ridge, we offer photo sessions for all occasions including family portraits, senior photos, engagement shoots, and wedding pictures. Our property provides countless natural and rustic backdrops, with the mountain sunsets and seasonal foliage being particularly popular for creating stunning images. What are the Photography Rules and Etiquette while on the Property?
Muchnok Ridge is partly a working farm and residence so we ask that all guests respect the property, crops, animals, and nature. During your scheduled session you will have private access to the property and ask that you only take photos and leave only footprints! When is the Luxury Log Home available for rentals?
Our new rental log home will be available for reservations starting Spring/Summer 2025! Muchnok Ridge is a four-season retreat and is available for rental all year round.
